The Shingle Bank Nature Reserve is one of Guernsey's Ramsar sites, designated to protecting our valuable wildlife, and is an important breeding ground for sea birds. At the north eastern end sits these beautifully weathered sea defence groynes and the view leads up the shingle bank and beyond to Fort Sausmarez and Lihou island.
